Police / Police investigate stabbing incident in Lerwick
POLICE in Shetland say they are continuing with their enquiries to trace the potential suspect behind a stabbing incident on Lerwick’s Burgh Road yesterday (Wednesday).
Chief inspector Stuart Clemenson confirmed to Shetland News that following reports of a stabbing just before midnight a man with minor injuries to his face and a cut to his arm was traced.
Emergency services attended but neither of the injuries required medical attention.
The chief inspector added that officers were following a “strong line of enquiry”.
Police confirmed it received a report of the potential stabbing of a man in the Burgh Road area of Lerwick at around 11.55pm on Wednesday.
