Transport / Hjaltland’s arrival in Aberdeen delayed by five hours due to fog
THE NORTHLINK ferry Hjaltland was more than five hours late in docking in Aberdeen today (Wednesday) due to heavy fog at the city’s harbour.
Her scheduled arrival was 7am but she only arrived into the harbour at 12.30pm.
NorthLink said due to reduced visibility the Hjaltland – which travelled overnight from Lerwick – had to wait for permission to enter the Port of Aberdeen.
The operator said the Hjaltland remains scheduled to depart Aberdeen tonight (Thursday) at 7pm.
