Emergency services / Road re-opens after serious road accident at Wadbister

THE A970 at Wadbister has re-opened following a three vehicle road traffic collision on Friday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the crash near the Wadbister junction  shortly before half past four.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.25pm on Friday, 10 May, we were called to a three vehicle road crash near the Wadbister junction.

“Officers attended and one person was taken to hospital to be checked over. The vehicles were recovered and the road was reopened.”

The A970 was closed for almost six hours to clear the road and to allow an accident investigation to take place.

A diversion via Weisdale and Kergord or Stromfirth had been in place.
