Community / Father of Claire Leveque pays tribute to daughter
THE FATHER of the woman who died in Sandness earlier this month has paid tribute to his daughter.
Clint Leveque said his 24-year-old daughter Claire was “so friendly to everybody she’s met”.
He told Canada’s CBC News that there are “no words to describe the whole situation” and added that he “just wants justice”.
Leveque also said his daughter had not long moved to Shetland.
Police were called to a disturbance at a property in Sandness on Sunday 11 February, with Claire Leveque pronounced dead at the scene.
On Thursday 39-year-old Aren Pearson, whose address was given as Shetland, appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court in private from custody on a charge of murder.
He made no plea, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
