Transport / Ferry disruption as weather cancels sailings

NORTHLINK says Wednesday night’s southbound sailing from Lerwick to Aberdeen has been cancelled due to the windy weather forecast.

The operator also confirmed that the northbound trip on Wednesday will not head to Lerwick. It will leave Aberdeen early at 2pm instead of 7pm, and only call at Kirkwall before returning to the city.

Both of Wednesday’s freight sailings are cancelled.
