Emergency services / Cyclist taken to hospital after road accident
A CYCLIST was taken to hospital earlier today (Friday) following a road accident in the South Mainland.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said officers were called to the Dunrossness area at around 12.40pm.
It followed reports of a collision involving a car and a bicycle.
“The female cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment,” the spokesperson said.
Two fire engines also attended to make the scene safe.
