Court / Shoplifting results in 12-month supervision order
A WOMAN from Lerwick has been placed under supervision for 12 months for shoplifting.
Jessica Richards, of North Lochside, had the community payback order imposed when she appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
A warrant to apprehend the 32-year-old was put in place last week when she failed to appear in court.
Richards had previously admitted stealing a storage box, two pen and notepad sets and three gift sets from Conochies in Lerwick on 9 February.
At Wednesday’s hearing honorary sheriff Willie Shannon imposed the supervision and released Richards on bail.
She also had two other cases continued without plea until 21 December.
The sheriff reminded Richards that she must appear in court when required to do so.
