Community / ‘Wild weemin’ complete cold water swimming challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK

Photo: Dave Donaldson

MORE than £13,000 has been raised by cold water swimmers Glynis Harcus, Linda Moncrieff, Emma Knight, Wendy Hatrick, Jane Murphy and Anita Georgeson (left to right) as they were making the final dip of their month long challenge at Bain’s Beach, in Lerwick, on Thursday afternoon.

They invite all cold water swimmers to join in for a big finale at the same location on Sunday 10 December at 1.30pm, to be followed by soup and sandwiches, hot drinks and live music at the Lerwick Boating Club.

Donations can still  be made here
