Police / Man treated in hospital after found with injuries in the early hours

POLICE are making enquiries after a 65-year old man was found with injuries in the Sandveien area of Lerwick.

A spokesperson said they were alerted to the incident at around 3.40am on Tuesday morning.

“He is being treated at the Gilbert Bain Hospital and police enquiries are ongoing to establish how he came about his injuries,” the police spokesperson continued.

Anyone with information should contact police via telephone 101 and quote incident number 0340 of 17 October.
