TWO fire appliances were sent to Scalloway earlier today (Thursday) after reports of smoke coming from a household appliance within a home.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the call came in at around 2.40pm.
“Operations control mobilised two appliances to Meadowfield Road, where firefighters worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene,” they said.
“There were no casualties.”
