Emergency services / Man airlifted after livestock injury
THE SUMBURGH-based search and rescue helicopter was tasked to Yell this morning (Saturday) after receiving reports of a man being injured by a cow.
The man was airlifted to the Clickimin landing site in Lerwick and passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
The alarm was raised at around 10.10am and coastguard rescue teams from Mid Yell and Lerwick were also mobilised to support.
