Transport / NorthLink opens bookings through to early January after festive travel concern

BOOKINGS on the NorthLink ferry have opened further again to allow people to plan trips away during the festive period.

After Transport Scotland announced another fare freeze this week, operator Serco NorthLink opened up bookings beyond the end of September.

But some islanders were left frustrated that bookings only went up to the end of December – meaning anyone looking to bag a spot on the ferry over New Year were unable to get their return journey.

However, Serco NorthLink has now opened up bookings through to Sunday 7 January 2024.
