Paid for contentFilming of Shetland series eight returns to Tingwall valley
AS FILMING of the latest instalment of the popular Shetland crime drama enters its final week, production company ITV Shetland advises that filming will be taking place around Tingwall kirk and the immediately adjacent road tomorrow (Wednesday 14 June).
Location manager Davie Gardner said: “For this purpose we have requested, and been officially granted, a temporary road closure order to ensure the safe movement and operation of our technical support vehicles and film crew in this area as detailed on the attached diagram.
“Local access will be maintained throughout, although a ‘stop/go’ traffic control system will operate between 11am and 11pm on this day.
“However, these ‘holds’ will only apply for a few minutes at a time on each occasion. Nevertheless, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Should you have any particular issues with this or require further information please contact Andy ‘Mod’ Ross (Assistant Locations Manager) on 07963 713 446 or Lyall Gair (Assistant Locations Manager – Shetland) on 07786 653 859.
