Paid for contentCrime drama chase scenes to be filmed along Bigton road

Map showing road closures in Shetland for filming on 7th June, from 11:00 to 18:00. Affected areas include B9102 between Scousburgh and Bigton. Specific locations marked with stop signs.

THE BBC crime series is set to continue shooting series eight in the south of Shetland this week.

Temporary closures will be in place along the B9122 between the Bigton and Scousburgh junctions.

The closures will apply from 6pm to 11pm on Tuesday 6 June and 10am to 7pm on Wednesday 7 June.

“Access will however be maintained at all times, although through traffic may be subject to short delays due to a ‘stop / go’ traffic and safety management system being occasionally employed during these times,” said location manager Davie Gardner.

“Once again apologies for any inconvenience or disruption this may cause but thanks too for your co-operation and understanding.”

This is in addition to the filming taking place at Bigton Farm this week.
