PARTICIPANTS in a 16 day long classic car tour of the Western and Northern Isles couldn’t have asked for better weather when they drove off the NorthLink ferry this morning (Sunday).

The 21 classic Jaguar, Triumph and MG cars will be touring the isles until Tuesday taking in the south and west mainland as well as the North isles Yell and Unst.

They have started their three day visit to Shetland with a tour of the south mainland including visits to St Ninian’s Isle, the Croft House Museum, Quendale Mill and Jarlshof.

Organisers said the tour vehicles will be on display at the Sumburgh Hotel from 5.30pm on Sunday
