Marine / Three cruise ships in town – but plenty of mist too

IT IS a busy morning in Lerwick Harbour today (Thurdsay) as three cruise ships visit.

The 253m Aidasol and Bolette, 253m, are joined by the smaller 132m Le Dumont D’Urville.

However, passengers have not been graced with the best of weather, with mist descending on Lerwick.

More than 140 cruise ship visits are expected in Lerwick this year, with the season ending in October.

The busiest day in the harbour is likely to be Thursday 27 July in the middle of the Tall Ships Races’ visit to Lerwick.

The numerous tall ships will be joined by three cruise vessels.
