Transport / Pilot boat to take foot passengers to Bressay after ferry fault
THE LERWICK pilot boat Knab is being drafted in on the Bressay ferry route this afternoon (Sunday) after a technical fault on the Leirna.
The Knab is due to take foot passengers from Lerwick to Bressay at 3pm.
The capacity is 12, so it will be on a first come, first served basis. If there is more than 12 folk the boat will do a double run.
The Lerwick Port Authority pilot boat will make a return trip back to town at around 3.15pm.
She may do another run at 5pm to Bressay, and then back again, if the ferry is still not in service by then.
The fault with the Leirna was first reported on Saturday evening.
Updates can be accessed on the voicebank service via 01595 743974.
Update on Monday morning: the Leirna has now returned to service.
