Emergency services / One person taken to hospital after Lerwick fire
A PERSON has been taken to hospital following a house fire in Lerwick this afternoon (Tuesday).
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.45pm on Tuesday, 24 January to reports of a building fire in Lerwick.
“Operations control mobilised three appliances to Ladies Drive, where firefighters extinguished the fire. Crews currently remain on scene working to make the area safe.
“One casualty was taken to Gilbert Bain Hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.”
