THE FORMER head of operations at Shetland Amenity Trust, Adam Johnson, has been appointed as the chief operating officer at Glasgow based Inksters Solicitors.

The award winning law firm, founded by Scalloway man Brian Inkster, operates across Scotland using a ‘hub and spoke model’ whereby lawyers not based at the Glasgow headquarters can access back office support through enhanced technology.

Inkster said the appointment represented a “significant milestone” for the law firm.

“It will allow me to focus on the growth of the business whilst Adam manages day-to-day operations,” he said.

“We have ambitious plans for the year ahead and expect to see more consultant solicitors join us, very possibly in new locations. It is also great to have a fellow Shetlander on board as my second-in-command.”

Johnson, from Nesbister, said: “It is an absolute privilege to be joining Inksters as chief operating officer.

“It feels that, given the variety of careers and industries I have experienced and with recently graduating from Strathclyde University with my MBA, it has all led to this and I couldn’t be happier.”
