Arts / Grinch painting adds twist to Market Cross festivities
A PAINTING of the Grinch character has been put up at the Market Cross in Lerwick next to the Christmas tree.
The Grinch is a character created by children’s author Dr. Seuss who tries to ruin Christmas.
The painting, by local artist Balazs Onhausz, was put up after the Christmas parade on Saturday (3 December).
Onhausz did similar in 2020, but that time the character was donning a facemask.
In October the artist also adorned the derelict Park Hall building on the Westside with Halloween themed paintings, with proceeds from their sales going to the campaign to keep the Lunna Kirk in the community.
