Transport / Ferries cancelled again
NORTHLINK has confirmed that tonight’s (Friday) ferry sailings to and from Shetland have been cancelled due to the weather – for a fourth day in a row.
However, they will resume on Saturday. The northbound sailing is scheduled to leave Aberdeen at 7pm instead of 5pm, and the stop-off in Kirkwall has been called off.
However, the departure may be delayed.
NorthLink is also advising that the 7pm southbound sailing may leave at 5pm, with the estimated arrival in Aberdeen 9am.
Saturday’s freight sailing to Lerwick has also been postponed to a 6am departure on Sunday.
