Transport / Weather disrupts inter-island ferry services
SHETLAND’s inter-island ferry services are beginning to be disrupted by the weather.
The Yell Sound and Bluemull Sound ferries are likely to tie up early tonight (Tuesday), and people are advised to make their journeys as soon as they can.
The Whalsay service was reduced to a single vessel earlier this afternoon, while delays and cancellations are possible on the Bressay service.
Updated information can be found through Shetland Islands Council’s voicebank service.
The windy weather has already seen all of Tuesday’s NorthLink ferry sailings cancelled.
