Transport / Midday departure for northbound ferry passengers due to weather
TUESDAY night’s NorthLink sailing from Aberdeen to Lerwick is set to leave at midday due to the weather – seven hours earlier than scheduled.
The estimated time of arrival in Lerwick is 11pm the same day.
However, if the weather deteriorates the sailing may be cancelled at short notice.
The southbound sailing from Lerwick to Aberdeen on Tuesday will leave at 2pm instead of 7pm. The arrival in Aberdeen is 7am on Wednesday morning.
This sailing may also be cancelled at short notice if the weather gets worse.
Tuesday’s freight sailings to and from Shetland are under review with a high probability of cancellation.
NorthLink Ferries has warned that there may be disruption all the way through to Friday.
