THERE was some success for Shetland in this year’s Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards.

Shetland Seabird Tours – The Noss Boat won the Best Visitor Attraction Experience prize.

The team behind the company – Rebecca Nason and Phil Harris – said on social media they were “truly shocked but utterly delighted” to have won.

Wild Skies Shetland, the Unst-based charity which “showcases the marvels and enormity of the skies”, also enjoyed success in the Working Together For Tourism category.

Meanwhile Lerwick restaurant No88 received a judge’s commendation in the best eatery section. Garths Croft in Bressay was also nominated in the food tourism category.

The awards ceremony took place in Inverness on Friday.
