A NUMBER of walk-in clinics are being held in Lerwick next month for Covid boosters and seasonal flu vaccinations.

NHS Shetland has tried to contact all those aged 65 and over and have nearly completed calling all those in risk groups to offer an appointment.

It will shortly be sending a letter to everyone aged 50-64 to invite them to make an appointment or attend a walk-in appointment.

The health board will also send letters to those in the other groups who it was unable to contact by phone and who have not yet been vaccinated to make sure everyone is invited.

Anyone who is eligible for the Covid and flu vaccines and has not yet had them can contact the vaccination team by phone on 01595743319, or by email to shet.vaccination-team@nhs.scot to make an appointment before the beginning of December.

The national online portal is not being used in Shetland for booking appointments.
