Emergency services / One person taken to hospital as precaution after South Mainland crash
ONE person was taken to hospital earlier this morning (Tuesday) as a precaution following a two-vehicle road accident on the A970 south of Cunningsburgh.
Police, fire and ambulance services were called out when the alarm was raised at around 7.40am.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “One person was taken by ambulance to the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick as a precaution. Recovery is being arranged.”
The road was also temporarily reduced to one lane, but it is now fully open again.
