Council / Yell Sound ferry service back on following technical fault
FERRY services across Yell Sound have resumed following a technical fault at the Ulsta linkspan that led to the temporary suspension of the service at 5pm on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for Shetland Islands Council said ferry services across Yell Sound are now operating normally this evening.
“Engineers will continue to investigate the fault, with the expectation of a normal two-vessel service tomorrow morning,” the council said.
Passengers are advised to check the Yell Sound voicebank on 01595 743972 before travelling.
