Community / Damaged transformer and faulty pole box cause overnight power cut
SOME homes in Brae, Voe and the surrounding areas lost power overnight after problems with equipment.
A spokesperson for Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) said the power cut was down to a damaged transformer and faulty pole box.
They said: “A fault on our main network supplying Brae, Voe and surrounding areas caused 32 customers to lose supply at 22.08 last night.
“All customers were restored at 8.32am this morning.
“SSEN would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers by this power outage and to thank them for their patience while our engineers worked to restored supply.”
