Community / Cunningsburgh Show to return
THE POPULAR Cunningsburgh Show is set to return this year after two cancellations due to the Covid pandemic.
The show will be held on Wednesday 10 August.
The Cunningsburgh and Districts Agricultural Society held its AGM last night (Monday).
Society president Alex Dodge said “The society is delighted to be able to have the show this year.
“After two years of no activity we hope that the show will be a welcome event in Shetland’s calendar.”
Meanwhile councillors approved a new Covid funding scheme on Monday designed to support events and festivals – including agricultural shows – as they return following cancellations.
