Letters / High time for some scrutiny

I read the correspondence on OVO Energy with interest.

Energy firms accused of being uncaring towards customers amid price hikes

Eighteen months ago, I received an estimated bill from OVO suggesting I was some £800 in debt. I submitted a meter reading which they ignored, and they issued a second estimated reading showing I owed roughly £600.

I changed supplier. Eight months after that they finally paid me the £120 that THEY owed ME.

I find that others have had similar experiences with OVO. SSE acted in a fair and honest way with customers, however OVO have consistently been devious and underhand – it is high time the company methods came under scrutiny.
