Climate / Kites flown for COP26 at Gilbertson Park
THERE were some colourful scenes at the Gilbertson Park in Lerwick on Saturday at the Fly a Kite for COP26 event held by the Shetland Greens group.
People in attendance were invited to write messages to leaders about the climate emergency, which were then flown into the air.
Kites were also on hand for people to try out.
The UN COP26 climate conference kicked off in Glasgow today (Sunday), with world leaders in attendance.
