Coronavirus / Seven new Covid-19 cases recorded in 48-hour period
SHETLAND has recorded a further seven Covid-19 cases in the past two days.
While cases are increasing UK-wide, both Shetland and Scotland have seen a marked reduction in the prevalence of the virus in recent days. Scotland as a whole recorded 2,069 cases in statistics published on Monday.
Shetland recorded three cases on Monday, following on from four cases on Sunday. Single cases were recorded on both Friday and Saturday.
Scotland’s national clinical director Jason Leitch is due to visit the islands on Tuesday.
