Health / Levenwick health centre short staffed
LEVENWICK Medical Practice says it is likely to be short-staffed for the rest of August.
It has asked people to consider if their health issues could wait until September.
“If you are unsure, please contact us to check,” the health centre said on Facebook.
“On some days, we will have to prioritise urgent and/or emergency care. Please bear with us, and don’t be offended if you are asked if you consider your problem urgent.”
Meanwhile, Shetland MSP Beatrice Wishart said if “anybody would like me to take up any issues on their behalf please contact me”.
It comes after NHS Shetland earlier this month reported a higher demand on health centre services in addition to staff shortages.
