News / Police seek witnesses after dangerous overtaking incident
POLICE are asking for help after receiving a report of alleged dangerous driving near Lerwick on Tuesday afternoon at around 2.45pm.
Officers would like to trace the driver of a small dark coloured car with red trim on the roof that was seen overtaking dangerously on the A970 North Road travelling downhill towards Lerwick.
Part of the vehicles registration mark is known as ‘SV64 H??’.
A police spokesperson said: “Police are seeking assistance from anyone witnessing this incident, in particular the drivers of the vehicles being overtaken, one of which was a white flatbed truck.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on telephone 101 or attend Lerwick police station.
