Council / Village road to be closed for resurfacing work
PART of the main street in Scalloway will be closed for much of the next fortnight while resurfacing work is carried out.
Shetland Islands Council’s roads team has advised the public that the west end of the A970 at Main Street, between Hillside Road and Chapel Lane, will be closed from 9am-4pm Monday to Friday. Diversions are in place via Houl Road.
In addition, public bus service 4 between Scalloway and Lerwick will be unable to serve Port Arthur at times when Main Street is closed to traffic. At those times it will terminate at Scalloway Hall instead.
