A FUNDRAISER running five marathons in five days in aid of a motor neurone disease charity kicked off his challenge this morning (Monday).

Michael Medici ran the first marathon from Sumburgh Head to Lerwick, setting off at around 10.15am.

He has raised more than £15,000 to date for MND Scotland, a charity case to his heart after both his parents were diagnosed with the degenerative condition.
