Marine / Striking photos paint ghostly image of sail training ship
THE NORWEGIAN sail training ship Christian Radich caught the eye on Friday off the South Mainland of Shetland in thick fog.
David Anderson took the above and below photos on Friday afternoon as the ship looked rather ghostly off Rerwick.
Meanwhile 12-year-old Jimmy Nixon sent us the photo below, taken in Scousburgh on Friday evening of the sail training boat in the distance.
He said the Christian Radich “crept out of the mist like a ghostly pirate ship” and was spotted by his uncle heading into Scousburgh Sands.
Jimmy added that his uncle said it was a “wipe my eyes moment”.
