Court / Breach of bail
A THIRTY four year old woman appeared from custody at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Monday to admit breaching bail conditions.
Kimberley Obern, of the town’s Pitt Lane, pleaded guilty to entering a property in Scalloway and contacting a man on 19 May despite being ordered not to do when bailed a week earlier in court.
Procurator fiscal Duncan Mackenzie said all parties have been spoken to by police and reminded of their obligations when it comes to bail conditions.
Sheriff Ian Cruickshank said it was “very disappointing” to see special bail conditions breached after one week.
He deferred sentencing until Obern’s next appearance in court on 9 June and released her on bail.
