Coronavirus / People reminded to be ready for phone call as health board progresses with second doses
NHS Shetland says it is currently phoning people for their second dose of AstraZeneca Covid vaccine.
Interim director of public health Dr Susan Laidlaw said: “If you had your first dose on March 8, or before at one of the vaccination centres in Lerwick, and especially if you are in one of the shielding, clinical risk groups or are an unpaid carer, please listen out for a phone call from the appointment scheduling team.
“As before, this will probably be from a withheld or unknown number. The team will keep trying. Please do not leave messages to tell us you have missed a call – we will already know that.
“Only phone 01595 743319 if you need to give us a different contact number, you have to cancel an appointment or you have not been called in for your first dose.”
More than half the adult Shetland population have now had a second dose of the vaccine.
