Letters / ‘Entirely proper’ to fly the European flag
The European flag was originally designed for the Council of Europe and only subsequently adopted also as the European Union flag.
The UK may have left the EU but remains in the Council of Europe, of which it was a founder member.
It is entirely proper that the SIC should fly it from the Lerwick Town Hall on Europe Day.
