Transport / Road closed to traffic due to collapsed drain
THE A971 between Walls and Bridge of Walls will be closed to all traffic from 8am tomorrow morning (Wednesday 21 April) due to a collapsed drain.
Essential repairs are expected to take up to two days.
The exact location of the road closure is around 200 metres north-east of the junction with the Pinhoulland Road. An alternative route exists via Brunatwatt.
Shetland Islands Council said bus services 9 & 9F to and from Walls will use this route, sticking to published timetables as far as possible.
