BBC Filming / Two south end beaches to be closed off for filming
Scousburgh road will also be closed for a time on Thursday
THE ST Ninian’s Isle, Scousburgh Sands beaches as well as the Scousburgh road will be closed to the public on Thursday (15 April) due to filming of the crime drama series Shetland.
The production team will be filming at the beaches from 2.30pm on Thursday to 12.30am the following morning.
The surrounding areas to the beaches will also be closed off to the public. The road will be closed between 7pm and midnight on 15 April.
The vehicle unit base, which includes several large articulated vehicles, will be parked in the car park of the Bigton Hall overnight on 14 April and throughout the day on the 15th too.
People are asked to be aware of increased traffic in the area at the time.
The production team apologised in advance for any disturbance this may cause, and thanked people for their co-operation.
Anyone with issues relating to this should contact unit manager Chris Groves on 07946 826 721, or Davie Gardner on 07867 654 509.
