Coronavirus / Five new coronavirus cases recorded
FIVE new cases of coronavirus in Shetland are included in today’s (Tuesday) Scottish Government update.
This brings the cumulative total since the pandemic began to 229.
A spokesperson for NHS Shetland said all five are household contacts of existing cases, so they were already isolating.
It means Shetland’s seven-day rate per 100,000 population – 69.8 – is nearing the Scottish average of 70.2 cases.
