Reading Brian Smith’s letter Reminder of Cameron’s visit in 2014 (Shetland News, 19 February 2021) also reminded me of another event that same year when Alistair Carmichael (making his stand for the union) rudely talked over Nicola Sturgeon as she was correctly predicting Brexit and its probable effect on Scotland.
Only by staying part of the UK can Scotland remain in the EU, he said. How’s that working out?
