Coronavirus / Shuttle bus to run to Gilbertson Park vaccination centre

A FREE return shuttle bus is being put on for anyone with pre-booked appointments at the Gilbertson Park mass Covid vaccination centre in Lerwick, which is opening this weekend.

The shuttle bus will depart from the Viking Bus Station every ten minutes, starting 20 minutes before the vaccination centre opens and continuing until 20 minutes after the last appointment time.

The shuttle bus will operate on a circular route around Lerwick from the Viking Bus Station, Esplanade, Annsbrae, Scalloway Road, Gilbertson Park, Bolts and Commercial Road.

The bus can be boarded at any of these stops when hailed.

Passengers on the shuttle buses will need to wear a face covering and use socially distanced seating. The buses will be cleaned between journeys.

A shuttle bus service is already in operation for the vaccination centre at the Independent Living Centre.
