Court / Unpaid work for threatening behaviour
A MAN who admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards his ex-partner during a prolonged separation period has been ordered to carry out 140 hours of unpaid work.
Daniel Walsh, of Hoofields, Lerwick, was also put under supervision for 15 months as part of community payback order, imposed as a direct alternative to a prison term.
In sentencing the 32-year old at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday, Sheriff Ian Cruickshank also issued a non-harassment order for 18 months, which prohibits Walsh from contacting or attempting to contact the woman.
Walsh had previously pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on numerous occasions between 25 December 2019 and 3 November 2020 at an address in Aith.
