Police / Man transferred to hospital in Glasgow after serious road accident
A TWENTY seven year old man has been transferred to hospital in Glasgow with what is believed to be serious injuries following a single vehicle road accident in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The road at the Scord of Scalloway was closed to allow police to carry out investigations.
The police said they received reports of the crash, which involved a blue Subaru Forrester, at 1.35am on Sunday.
The man was transferred to hospital in Glasgow later on Sunday.
The road was closed between the Black Gaet junction and the junction leading to the Tingwall Valley.
