News / Police seek information on dangerous driving near airport
POLICE in Shetland are appealing for witnesses to an incident of dangerous driving near the islands’ main airport on Thursday morning.
The incident reportedly involved a black motor vehicle overtaking a large goods vehicle prior to a blind corner on an unclassified road just off the A970 into the face of oncoming traffic which were leaving Sumburgh Airport.
Police said vehicles on both roads had to take evasive action to prevent a collision. The incident occurred at around 8am.
Officers asked anyone with information to contact Police Scotland by dialling 101, attending Lerwick Police Station in person or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
