News / Heavy rain causes roads to flood in Lerwick
DRIVERS were faced with tough conditions in parts of Lerwick early on Friday evening following a downpour of heavy rain.
Roads were flooded and a bump formed near to the Sound Primary School after the drains struggled to deal with the influx of water before it later dropped down again.
The police said they received only one call related to the rain, and that was regarding the bump at South Road.
Officers said Shetland Islands Council had been informed.
