Court / Lewd text message leads to supervision order
A MAN from Scalloway who admitted sending a sexual text to his social worker has been placed under supervision for 15 months.
Alexander Forbes, 36, of Castle Street, previously admitted sending the text with explicit sexual content on Valentine’s Day this year.
He was given a 15-month supervision order when his case called at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Forbes was also made subject to notification requirements under the sexual offences act.
He also had sentence deferred for three months for good behaviour on a charge of obtaining medication from a chemist under false pretences.
The court previously heard that Forbes obtained 100 Tramadol tablets from Laing’s Pharmacy in Lerwick on 15 February by pretending he had permission to collect a man’s medication.
